Write Markdown with a live preview, tables, task lists and code highlighting. Copy the HTML or download .md and .html files. Free.
Your draft is saved in this browser only, so it is still here when you come back. Nothing is uploaded. HTML tags typed into the Markdown are not shown, for safety.
NinjaFunction's Markdown Editor shows a live preview as you type, with full GitHub Flavored Markdown: headings, lists, task lists, tables, strikethrough, links, images and code blocks with syntax colours. A toolbar and keyboard shortcuts add formatting for you, and you can switch between split, write and preview views. Copy the result as Markdown or HTML, download a .md file or a ready-to-open .html page, or open an existing .md file to edit it. Your draft is kept in your browser and never uploaded.

Markdown is a simple way to format plain text. You type symbols such as # for a heading, ** for bold and - for a list, and they turn into formatted text. It is used for README files on GitHub, documentation, notes apps, forums and many blogs.
It supports GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM). That includes everything in standard Markdown plus tables, task lists with check boxes, strikethrough text and web addresses that turn into links on their own.
Write the column names between pipes, then a line of dashes, then one line per row, for example | Name | Age | then | --- | --- | then | Sam | 30 |. Press the Table button in the toolbar to insert one you can edit. Add colons to the dash line, such as :---:, to center a column.
Put three backticks and the language name on their own line, such as ```python, write your code, then close it with three backticks. The preview colours JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON, Bash and many other languages.
Yes. Press Copy HTML to copy the HTML for the content, or Download .html to save a complete web page with simple styles that you can open in any browser.
For safety, HTML tags inside the Markdown are not shown, in the preview or in the export. This stops pasted text from running scripts. Use Markdown formatting instead, which covers headings, links, images, lists, tables and code.
Your draft is saved in this browser, so it is still there when you come back on the same device. It is never uploaded. Clearing your browser data removes it, so download a .md file to keep a copy.
