Is the End Date Included?

The tool counts the days between the two dates, so the start day is not counted. 1 January to 2 January is 1 day. If you need both the first and the last day included, such as the length of a holiday booking, add 1 to the total days.

Weekdays and Working Days

The weekdays line counts Monday to Friday between the dates. It does not remove public holidays or company days off, so for a precise working-day count take away the holidays that fall in your range.

How many days are there between two dates?

Pick the start and end date. The total days is shown in the results. The start day is not counted, so 1 January to 2 January is 1 day.

Can the end date be before the start date?

Yes. The tool swaps them and shows the gap.

What are weekdays?

Monday to Friday. The count is a quick guide to working days. It does not remove public holidays.

How are months counted?

Whole months are counted from the start date, and the days left over are shown. Month ends are handled, so 31 January plus one month is the last day of February.
